Information processed by the transcript tool
When you submit a YouTube URL or video ID, TranscriptWave sends the normalized video ID and selected caption language through our server to the transcript provider. YouTube oEmbed may also be used to retrieve the public video title, author, and thumbnail.
The current service has no user accounts or transcript-history database. Successful transcript responses may be held in a short-lived cache for up to five minutes to reduce repeated upstream requests.
Operational data
Cloudflare and our application may process request metadata such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, error details, and rate-limit keys to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the service. Rate-limit state and platform logs may be retained according to the infrastructure provider's settings.
Google Analytics
TranscriptWave uses Google Analytics with measurement ID G-TV4F8W35GZ to understand page views and site usage. Google may process device, browser, approximate location, referral, and interaction data and may use cookies or similar technologies under Google's own policies.
Third-party services
The service depends on Cloudflare, YouTube public metadata, Google Analytics, and a transcript provider. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy practices. Do not submit private information through a video URL.
Your choices
You can use browser privacy controls, content blockers, or Google Analytics opt-out tools to limit analytics. You may stop using the service at any time. This policy will be updated when storage, accounts, payments, or additional analytics are introduced.
