The video has no accessible captions
A transcript extractor reads caption tracks already associated with a video. If the creator disabled captions, YouTube has not generated them, or the track is not exposed, there is no text for the current tool to retrieve.
TranscriptWave does not claim to transcribe captionless audio. That would require a separate speech-to-text process.
The video cannot be reached
Private, deleted, members-only, age-restricted, region-restricted, and some live videos may prevent caption access even when the URL itself looks valid.
- Confirm the video opens while signed out.
- Wait until a live stream has ended and captions have finished processing.
- Try the standard watch URL or the bare video ID.
The selected language is unavailable
Caption availability belongs to the individual video. A language shown on one video may not exist on another. Generate the transcript first, then choose only from the tracks listed in the result.
The provider is temporarily limited
Public caption services can encounter upstream rate limits or temporary YouTube changes. If the error indicates a timeout or service problem, wait briefly and retry once rather than repeatedly submitting the same link.
